Working in partnership is central to everything we do; we have extensive evidence of best practice working within a multi-agency team and we know that it creates the best results for children. Merrywood House will explore partnerships within the community, we will also work in partnerships with other educational establishments to ensure we are able to reintegrate children where possible. We love to share best practice and have trained over 300 professionals in a range of subjects relating to behaviour, trauma, vulnerabilities, exclusion and staff wellbeing.

We have an open line of communication policy with our parent partnerships to ensure that we are all kept up to date with the progress of a child and their development. We ask parents to work alongside us to support the growth of their child. We value what our parents have to say and work with parents to do the following:

• Review a child’s Educational Health Care Plan
• Provide progress meetings to keep up to date and ensure we are meeting the child’s needs
• Phone calls to inform parents of any concerns or highlights from the day
• Communication log books, so parents are kept up to date and parents can inform us of any things we should know

If you think you have a valuable partnership, please do contact the Merrywood team.
